Custom Bill Asher Lap Steel (Venice, CA)
Reknowned custom guitar maker and luthier Bill Asher contacted Megan in the summer of 2007 about endorsing his gorgeous custom lap steels. She visited his studio in Venice/Culver City, California on July 30th, 2007, and left with this stunning, oceanic lap steel -- which is probably the only lap steel in the known world that features a separate digital output that corresponds to circuitry to control a Roland synthesizer. Quilted maple top, mahogany body, Koa detailing (saddle and fingerboard). 'Tis awork of art.

Oahu 'Diana' Lap Steel
The main lap steel that Megan used from 2001 until 2007 when she acquired the Bill Asher custom steel. Dating to the 1940s or 1950s, made by the Oahu Publishing Company of Cleveland, OH. Solid wood. Main pedal with it is Line 6 DL-6 Delay. This lap steel was used exclusively to record the self-titled debut album (2003), and Wire Waltz (2007).

Rickenbacher 'Ace' Lap Steel
A lot more rock n roll-sounding than the Oahu. Bakalite body. Bought in a now-departed music shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn called Rumble Seat Music.

Wurlitzer 200-A
The classic electric piano. Found this at a yard sale in Pittsburgh for... $20.

CONN Organ - 'Faux Pipe Organ'
A home organ was meant to have the look of a pipe organ. The pipes extend from two standalone speakers that rest atop the organ. They sound silly. The cabinet of the organ has Leslie speaker. Bought it as it was unloaded off a truck for sale at a flea market in Park Slope, Brooklyn, during the recording of the first album.

Gibson Les Paul 1976 Electric Guitar
Very dark and warm tone. Also bought at now-departed Rumble Seat Music.

Yamaha FG-441 S, 1993 Acoustic Guitar
Solid spruce top, and the back's a wood something like Rosewood but I forget its name. Bought this used from a kid whose mom's girlfriend bequeathed it to his mom after the breakup. There are divots in the neck from long fingernails. Use a Fishman Rare Earth humbucking pickup with it.

Peavey Delta Blues - Amp - 2003ish
15" speaker is nice and warm and sounds cloudy.
